Twitter users may need to re-authorize Choqok

Twitter is forced its new permission level from today, first of July. So, Choqok users who want to see and send direct messages should re-authorize Choqok to access their direct messages.

Here you can read more from twitter blog.

Twitter said that current authorization level (Read/Write) can send direct messages. So, If you disabled sent and received direct messages timelines in Choqok, and you don’t need to access them from Choqok, Its OK, you can continue with current authorization.

Have fun :)

Hmmm… Just a wish, but would you be able to add Google+ as a service in the future to choqok?

    • There’s just another problem with Choqok that is fixed in git, Choqok could not get your friends list, because of some silence changes on twitter api. this will be fixed with next stable release.

Is it possible to give a prediction on when a release will be available that solves the DM problems?

Maybe it’s possible to release a bugfix-version (if that’s the proper word; after all it’s due to changes in the Twitter api) for the DM issues before a bigger version update?

  6. Ok Mehrdad, thanks for the info :) You do a great job with Choqok

Mehrdad, I just updated to v 1.2 and now when I select Twitter at the account config screen, it says “Cannot load the choqok_twitter plugin. Please check your installation.” I’ve tried re-installing 3 times, but get the same result. It worked fine before the update.
    Any advice would be appreciated.
    Regards,
    Ian.

    • Hmm, let me guess, I think this can happen if you installed new Choqok on a different path than previous, so both plugins are on your system, and it seems that the older one is somewhere with higher priority for Plugin Manager.
Search for choqok_twitter on your system.
